Laniakea is a registered landmark
and part of the walking tour of historic Honolulu. It was
designed by famous female
architect Julia Morgan, who also designed Hearst Castle in San
Simeon. Laniakea was the first public building to be designed
by a woman in Hawaii. She
lived on Lifesavers and Hershey bars, and perhaps that is why
Karen has such an affinity for
the lovely old building. She even works there!

Event is casual - aloha attire
'barefoot on the beach'
Although the wedding will be 'barefoot', you may want to wear
rubber slippahs (flipflops) as
we will be walking through deep warm sand. Ladies, save your heels
for the reception.
The wedding will be late afternoon, but plan on some fairly strong
sun at the beach. We will
provide bottled water.
